Hello everyone~I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!
Today was wash day for me and I had one of the best wash day's ever. It's been a long time since I've actually enjoyed dealing with my hair. I'm 13 weeks post and my new growth is kicking in, however, I was trying to decide if I wanted to end my stretch due to some shedding and breakage I had. After washing my hair, I decided not to texlax and to proceed with my routine.

Anyway, I used my Silk Elements moisturizing shampoo, then deep conditioned with Silk Elements Megasilk Olive moisturizing treatment (I'll review this later) for about 45 minutes. After I washed the conditioner out, I decided to try something new for air drying. I watched some tutorials from a LaToya Jones (ToyaJtv). I sprayed my hair with Chi Keratin Mist, applied Hawaiian Silky 14 n 1 for my leave-in, and sealed with grapeseed oil. I used my Motions Foaming wrap and put it on my hair to help with drying flat and straight, then put my satin scarf on and let it dry. I must say that I was quite pleased with the results.
That's all for now...be blessed!!!

Silk Elements makes good products. I use three products from that brand, and they have never failed me. I use the SE Kera Minerals Shampoo and deepie, and their heat protecting spray.
ReplyDeleteButterscotchchick~thank you. I've been looking for some positive feedback on their products. I saw a few on yt. I really like it so far!
ReplyDeleteYes, they are really. I found them early in my hj, and they are my staples. If they stop making them I will die! LOL!
ReplyDeleteNext, I want to try their leave-in conditioner from their Naturally Curly line. The Mixed Silk one that I have, that line is discontinued, that's why I didn't mention that one. Another great product. It's protein based though. They had to pull it off their shelves because of a law suit from Mixed Chicks. The Regional Manager for my area told me that they were bringing back the product line, but of course under a new name, and I think that's what the Naturally Curly line is.
ReplyDeleteI noticed the SE Kera Minerals in one of your videos. I need to take a closer look next time I go to Sally's to see what they have. I'm looking for staple products and a line that I know my hair likes. Thank you for the great feedback!
ReplyDeleteYW. The SEKM deepie is a moisture based one in case you are wondering.
ReplyDeleteYou should also check out the product reviews left on the Sally's website. I usually write reviews online, and some of the reviews left on there (Sally's) are from salon professionals.
Thank you my friend, I appreciate the information about SEKM. I will definitely check those reviews on Sally's page.
ReplyDeleteYou're most welcome hunnie bunches. :)
ReplyDeleteYour hair is beautiful!

M Hall~thank you. Thanks for stopping by as well.
ReplyDeleteYou have a healthy and gorgeous head of hair! I have been trying fenugreek in my conditioner the last two months and it has stopped excessive shedding and breakage. It gives the hair great slip as well...I recently wrote a LONG review about.
ReplyDeleteGUMBOHAIR.COM, thank you so much. I will definitely check out your review! Thanks for stopping by.
